where does my data live?
on your device. the app is offline-first: crops, plants, photos, and events stay on the phone. nothing leaves.
how do I back up my grow?
settings → backup creates a .zip with everything (database + photos) you can share by email, AirDrop, Drive — whatever. to restore, go to backup → restore and pick the .zip.
I am not getting notifications
check: 1) notification permission for GrowerHelper in your phone settings; 2) in the crop settings → tasks, that reminders are set up and enabled; 3) that the crop is still open (closed crops stop pinging). reopening the app rebuilds the schedule from scratch.
I switched phones. did I lose everything?
not if you backed up. export the .zip on the old device, move it to the new one (email, Drive, AirDrop) and use restore.
